PC-3000 Express will have 6 ports for
connecting HDD (four SATA ports and two PATA ports). Two SATA ports are
independent and other two ports are
dependant with PATA ports. Thus you will be able to work with several
disks at the same time!
PC-3000 Express works 2 times faster, it has 2 times more ports, thus its
efficiency is 4 times higher that efficiency of PC-3000 UDMA, whereas
price is about only 1,5 times higher. You will solve 4 times more jobs at
the same time that 1 job for PC-3000 UDMA!
PC-3000 Express has 4 SATA ports and 2 PATA ports. Ports are independent,
4 ports can work at the same time, for example 2 SATA and 2
PATA ports, or 3 SATA and 1 PATA ports etc. The speed of working of SATA
ports is PIO0, PIO1, PIO2, PIO3, PIO4, UDMA33, UDMA66, UDMA
100 and UDMA133. The speed of working of PATA ports is up to UDMA100.
Four independent SATA ports provide UDMA133, UDMA100, UDMA66, UDMA33, PIO
4, PIO 3, PIO1, PIO 0 data transfer modes. All ATA specifications
(up to ATA 8) are supported. You can use an adapter from deliver suite to
connect HDD with SATA-MINI interface.
Two independent PATA ports provide UDMA100, UDMA66, UDMA33, PIO 4, PIO 3,
PIO 2, PIO 1, PIO 0 data transfer modes. All ATA specifications,
including hard drives that work only with CHS addressing, are supported.
Ports can have 3.5” IDE HDD connected. To connect 2.5” IDE HDD,
you should use external adapter PC-2” from delivery suite.
Four channel power supply adapter provides independent +5 V, +12 V voltage
supply and protection from overvoltage, short circuit and exceeding
the maximum current load for each connected HDD. Due to feedback circuit,
managing software constantly controls the supplying voltage values
and triggers each power supply channel protection.
PC-3000 UDMA supports 32 bit Windows OS, PC-3000 Express supports 32 and
64 bit Windows OS.
Each port works as independent application: Completely new PC-3000 Express
feature is ability to run utilities and Data Extractor tasks as separate
OS processes. For its effective usage, "PC-3000 Resources manager"
software had been developed. The main purpose of this software is to
select
what port is used with what utility, check process condition and kill it
when necessary. Before utility is launched it is possible to select exact
number
ofports from PC-3000 Express board. For example it is possible to run four
processes for each port, or only two processes while first one works with
three ports and the second one with one port etc.
There is be no upgrade option from PC-3000 UDMA to PC-3000 Express,
because software will be the same, only hardware will be different. Both
PC-3000
UDMA and PC-3000 Express will be running simultaneously.
